“We would like to thank Omar and the whole team. We didn't know much about Cuban cuisine, they made suggestions. The portions are good for the price. The flavors of the food and the side dishes were good. Some people are not used to other cuisines, but you can easily eat what we ate. We tried vaca frita and ropa vieja.”

“The place is affordable. I saw locals including law enforcement personnel eating there which confirms my point that this place must be doing something right. I had the best Bistec de Palomilla. It was well marinated which made it delicious. The flan desert was also good.”

“We ate here 3 times during our 5 day stay in Sunny Isles. We loved everything we tried. Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja, masitas de puerco, the burger, kids chicken tenders, steak, ans shrimp dishes. The cocktails and coffee were also on point. We especially appreciated the attention and care in preparing meals for our Celiac child. We had Osmany 2/3 times who was great! This will definitely be a place we return to over and over again.”

“El Tropico is one of the classic Cuban restaurants in South Florida. The cortadittos are heavenly. Recently the adorable Leanett prepared ours with such LOVE that we had to share the photos and the spirit. We’ve loved the food, the atmosphere, the staff and the relaxed happy vibe for many years. Highly recommended! A media noche sandwich and a cafe at the counter - yummy : )”

“If u are in the area you must stop here. The Cuban & the Miami were excellent. I don't know which one I liked better. And the price, $10-12 each, most other places in the area(including Miami area) charge $17-20. The staff is super nice also.”
